October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month, and Intellinetics, Inc. is encouraging everyone to participate. The purpose of National Disability Employment Awareness Month is to educate employers, hiring managers and companies about disability employment issues and celebrate the many and varied contributions of America’s workers with disabilities.

Intellinetics Unique Partnership with ARC Delivers Real-World Work Experience

Intellinetics walks the talk through their company’s partnership with ARC Industries. This innovative training service focuses on community integration and an immersive training environment for ARC’s clients. Participants in this program develop hard and soft skills that are critical to supporting the goal of long-term employment for participants. By being embedded in the Intellinetics’ workplace, participants experience what it is like to work at a company and have a true impact on the company’s deliverables to clients. They are able to interact with Intellinetics employees to determine how to accomplish their job responsibilities while also participating in company events, meetings and lunches. ARC clients truly are valuable members of the Intellinetics team.

After successfully completing various levels of training, organizing and scanning paper documents into digital files, participants graduate and seamlessly transition to full-time employment.

 

Get Involved in NDEA Month

Held annually, National Disability Employment Awareness Month is led by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Disability Employment Policy, but its true spirit lies in the many observances held at the grassroots level across the nation every year. We at Intellinetics encourage employers of all sizes and in all industries to participate in NDEAM as we recognize, on a daily basis, the benefit of employing people with disabilities.
