While October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM), some companies choose to operate in a spirit of inclusivity and awareness all year long.
IntellineticsTM is one of those.
NDEAM is a thirty-day period that focuses on the contributions of American workers with disabilities and the difficulties they sometimes face assimilating into modern workplaces. Initiated by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP), the movement encourages organizations from local to national levels to promote awareness and inclusivity.
While many businesses highlight NDEAM activities for the month, some, like Intellinetics, go above and beyond with their commitment. They work at solving workforce issues faced by employees with disabilities and providing new opportunities to utilize the many talents employees with disabilities bring to the table all year long.
How the Intellinetics/ARC Industries Partnership is Revolutionizing Medicaid Training Services
Intellinetics is a cloud-based document content services provider with a strategic focus on solutions for human service providers (HSP). In February of this year, they announced a new services line that showcases their commitment to the HSP market while also solidifying a relationship with ARC Industries. This relationship is set to make it easier for employees with disabilities to integrate into the workplace, where they can provide real-world value to the companies that employ them.
The partnership with ARC Industries (ARC) is based on in-depth integration and training in Medicaid scanning services. In the Intellinetics/ARC model, Intellinetics is committed to creating an immersive training experience that provides the ideal template for the development of hard and soft skills. This development represents a crucial step toward the program goal of long-term employment for participants.
Using an educational environment as the pattern for training, participants move through various training stages according to their level of mastery. The training culminates with the participant’s “graduation” — an event that occurs in close association with ARC’s employment services. This seamless transition allows participants to move seamlessly into a full-time employment position.
All training occurs at the Intellinetics corporate headquarters. Here, participants gain hands-on experience working and contributing to a vibrant, high technology environment. They’re able to interact with fellow Intellinetics employees and participate in meetings, lunches, and other company events.

The inaugural class has six ARC members, and Intellinetics has plans to keep the program moving forward as these participants graduate.

Matt Chretien, Chief Technology Officer of Intellinetics and head of the company’s HSP business unit, further notes that the Medicaid scanning services provided by graduates of this program are the perfect addition to off-the-shelf modules and anticipates that the HSP customer base will continue to have an interest in hiring these valuable employees.
